Can Japan ETFs Overcome Hurdles In 2012?

Japanese ETFs benefited from the surprising increase in Japanese stocks this week, giving hope to a possible rebound following disappointing performance last year, according to an article on ETF Trends.

Between last year’s earthquake and the effects of lower exports, Japan-based ETFs lost close to 15 percent in 2011.

According to the article, analysts believe Japan needs to address challenges associated with a rising yen, by taking actions such as joining the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the article said, citing a report in the Los Angeles Times.
