The Nasdaq-100 ETF PowerShares QQQ (NasdaqGM: QQQ) continues to outperform the S&P 500, and reached its highest level since 2000 thanks to boosts from Apple’s fourth-quarter earnings report, according to an ETF Trends article.

Apple was up 4 percent Thursday, which fueled QQQ’s upward movement. The ETF is now 11.9 percent higher, year-to-date. That compares to a 7.6 percent gain made by the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (NYSEArca: SPY).
