  David Blitzer is the chairman of the S&P 500 Index Committee and a member of Standard & Poor's Investment Policy Committee and Economic Forecast Council. He had previously served as corporate economist at McGraw-Hill and as senior economic analyst with National Economic Research Associates. Dr. Blitzer is often quoted in the national business press and is the author of Outpacing the Pros: Using Indices to Beat Wall Street 's Savviest Money Managers, (McGraw-Hill, 2001).
  John Bogle is the founder and former CEO of The Vanguard Group, Inc., and president of the Bogle Financial Markets Res earch Center . He created Vanguard in 1974 and had been associated with a predecessor company since 1951, following his graduation from Princeton University , magna cum laude in Economics. The Vanguard Group comprises more than 100 mutual funds with assets totaling about $550 billion. Bogle founded the Vanguard 500 Index Fund, the first index mutual fund, in 1975.
  Srikant Dash is equity index strategist at Standard & Poor's. His responsibilities include conducting quantitative research around S&P indexes, including the S&P 500, S&P SmallCap 600 and S&P MidCap 400. Dash is one of the authors of the Standard & Poor's Index Versus Active Scorecards (SPIVA), and is also associated with new index product development. Srikant joined Standard & Poor's in 2000 as manager of global index analysis.
  Matthew Hougan is a contributing editor of the Journal of Indexes , and a writer for both IndexUniverse.com and the Exchange-Traded Funds Report (ETFR) . Prior to joining JoI, Matt directed the internal communications effort at Genzyme Corporation, and worked as a biotech analyst and journalist for the award-winning financial Web site MetaMarkets.com. Hougan, a 1998 graduate of Bowdoin College , lives on the coast of Maine with his wife and dog.
  Craig Israelsen is an associate professor at Brigham Young University in Provo , Utah . He holds a Ph.D. in Family Resource Management from Brigham Young University and a M.S. in Agricultural Economics from Utah State University . He taught personal and family finance at the University of Missouri for 14 years, prior to returning to BYU. Primary among his research interests is the analysis of mutual funds. Israelsen writes monthly for Financial Planning magazine.
 

Josef Schuster is the founder of IPOX Schuster LLC, a financial services company specializing in financial products design related to initial public offerings. Before setting up IPOX, he spent eight years specializing in IPO research at the London School of Economics, where he received his Masters and Doctorate. During that time he was also a member of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, focusing on equity index arbitrage. He holds Series 3 and 7 licenses.

  Harold Seneker is a financial writer, editor and editorial consultant who began his career as a securities analyst at Value Line. He has worked with a variety of business and financial publications, most notably Forbes Magazine , where he developed the Forbes 400 and managed it for many years. His work has also appeared on the cover of Barron's and in other publications, and in recent years he has worked closely with Dow Jones Indexes.
  Jim Wiandt is the editor of the Journal of Indexes and publisher of both ETFR and IndexUniverse.com. Wiandt was formerly publisher of indexfunds.com and is author of Exchange Traded Funds , a book that was published by John Wiley & Sons. Prior to working in the publishing business, Wiandt served as an editor and writer for Compton 's Encyclopedia, a Peace Corp volunteer, and a freelance writer in West Africa . He has served as an aide in the British Parliament.
  Brad Zigler formerly served as head of marketing, education and research for the Pacific Exchange and Barclays Global Investors. Zigler is a founding member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals Education Committee, and has contributed to TheStreet.com, CBS MarketWatch , Institutional Investor , Financial Planning , CRB Trader , Mutual Funds and Registered Rep .
