David Blanchett

David Blanchett is a full-time MBA candidate at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Previously, he worked as an internal consultant for Unified Trust Company in Lexington, Ky., and as a financial planner for Hilliard Lyons in Louisville, Ky. Blanchett holds an M.S. in financial services through The American College and a BBA in finance and economics from the University of Kentucky. He is also a Certified Financial Planner, an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst and a Chartered Financial Analyst charterholder.

Bruce Bond

H. Bruce Bond is CEO and president of Invesco PowerShares. He founded PowerShares Capital Management in 2003 and sold it to Invesco Ltd. in 2006. Currently, PowerShares offers more than 140 funds, with about $38 billion in assets in its U.S. funds. Prior to founding PowerShares, Bond was a managing director with Nuveen Investments, and before that was vice president and regional sales manager at First Trust Portfolios LP. He is a frequent speaker and contributor at industry events and in the media. He is a graduate of Taylor University.

Marc Chandler

Marc Chandler is the global head of currency strategy at Brown Brothers Harriman. Previously, he was the chief currency strategist for HSBC Bank USA and Mellon Bank. Chandler is also a contributing writer for Active Trader magazine and a longtime columnist for TheStreet.com. Chandler’s most recent publication, “Making Sense of the Dollar: Exposing Dangerous Myths About Trade and Foreign Exchange,” was published in August 2009 by Bloomberg Press.

Gary Gastineau

Gary Gastineau is a managing member of Managed ETFs LLC and ETF Consultants LLC; and a partner in Skyhawk Management, LLC, the adviser to a market-neutral hedge fund that buys ETFs and sells them short. A new edition of his book, “The Exchange-Traded Funds Manual,” will be published by Wiley in 2010. Gastineau is also the author of “Someone Will Make Money On Your Funds—Why Not You?” (Wiley, 2005). He is a frequent contributor to the Journal of Indexes.

Jeffrey McCarthy

Jeffrey McCarthy is the global ETF product manager at Brown Brothers Harriman, where he has worked alongside several global ETF sponsors on the development of their exchange-traded products. BBH provides product expertise, design, distribution analysis and operational support to some of the world’s most sophisticated asset managers. McCarthy is a past contributor to the Journal of Indexes and an active participant and speaker at industry leading events.

Steve Meizinger

Steve Meizinger is director of education at the International Securities Exchange (ISE). He has over two decades of experience as an options specialist at several leading exchanges, including the NYSE, PHLX and AMEX. Meizinger has traveled extensively throughout North America teaching courses on equity, index and forex option trading. He is also a top-rated instructor and author in the Options Industry Council, the U.S. options industry’s education resource. His recent writings include contributions to Profit & Loss, Sentiment magazine, SFO and StreetIQ.

Dave Nadig

Dave Nadig is director of research for Index Publications LLC. As managing director at Barclays Global Investors, he helped design and market some of the first exchange-traded funds. With partner Don Luskin, Nadig went on to found MetaMarkets.com, which ran a revolutionary transparent mutual fund and pushed fund disclosure to the top of the SEC agenda. He also co-founded Cerulli Associates in the early ’90s and conducted some of the earliest research on fee-only financial advisers and the rise of indexing.
