Heather Bell

Heather Bell is managing editor of Exchange-Traded Funds Report and the contributing editor for Journal of Indexes. Prior to joining Index Publications in 2006, she was an editor in Lehman Brothers’ equity research division and, before that, a marketing writer with Dow Jones Indexes. Bell holds a B.A. in English literature from Dartmouth College.

Nik Bienkowski

Nik Bienkowski helped Graham Tuckwell found ETF Securities and is currently responsible for product development, listings, and exchange relations and index licensing. Before joining ETF Securities, he held positions with a number of departmental startups, including the Canadian office for Macquarie Bank’s mining team and Towers Perrin’s global custody consulting team. Bienkowski holds the CFA and B.A./B. Comm (Honours Finance) degrees from Melbourne University.

David Blitzer

David Blitzer is managing director and chairman of the S&P Index Committee. He has overall responsibility for security selection for S&P’s indices and index analysis and management. Prior to becoming chairman, Blitzer was chief economist for Standard & Poor’s. A graduate of Cornell University, he received his M.A. in economics from The George Washington University and his Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.

Satch Chada

Satch Chada is a managing director at Jefferies Asset Management, LLC and the firm’s global head of investor solutions. Prior to joining Jefferies, he was a managing director at Merrill Lynch and globally responsible for the wealth management division’s structured products origination business. Chada has a B.S. in computer science from the University of Michigan, an M.S. in computer science from Michigan State University and an MBA from The University of Chicago.

Adam Dunsby

Adam Dunsby is a partner at SummerHaven Investment Management, where his responsibilities include research and quantitative modeling. He has worked in quantitative investment management for over 15 years and is a co-author of “Commodity Investing” (Wiley 2008). Dunsby holds a Ph.D. in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Matt Hougan

Matt Hougan is the global head of editorial for Index Publications LLC. He is considered a leading authority on exchange-traded products, and his writings on ETFs have appeared in SmartMoney, MarketWatch, Yahoo Finance and Financial Advisor magazine. Widely quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, TheStreet.com and other publications, Hougan is a regular guest on CNBC. He is a 1998 graduate of Bowdoin College.

Kurt Nelson

Kurt Nelson is a partner at SummerHaven Investment Management, where he manages investor relations and product structuring. He was a managing director for UBS until July 2009, where he led the successful effort to acquire and integrate AIG’s commodity index business. In April 2008, Nelson led the effort to launch the UBS exchange-traded note platform (E-TRACS). He earned his B.S. in mathematics from The College of William & Mary.
