David Blitzer

David Blitzer is managing director and chairman of the S&P Index Committee. He has overall responsibility for security selection for S&P’s indices and index analysis and management. Prior to becoming chairman, Blitzer was chief economist for Standard & Poor’s. A graduate of Cornell University, he received his M.A. in economics from The George Washington University and his Ph.D. in economics from Columbia University.

David Krein

David Krein is the senior director of product development and analytics at Dow Jones Indexes, a CME Group subsidiary. In this role, he guides the research and development of new and enhanced indexes and benchmarks. Previously, he was president and founder of DTB Capital, which developed indexes and structured investment products. Krein holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University and an M.B.A. from The University of Chicago School of Business.

Dimitris Melas

Dimitris Melas is executive director and head of EMEA equity and applied analytics research at MSCI. He and his team carry out research to support, develop and promote the firm’s equity indices and portfolio analytics products. Previously, Melas was head of research and head of quantitative strategies at HSBC Asset Management. He has an MSc in electrical engineering and an M.B.A. in finance, and is currently completing a Ph.D. thesis at the London School of Economics.

Jeremy Schwartz

Jeremy Schwartz is director of research at WisdomTree Investments, Inc. Prior to joining WisdomTree, Schwartz was the head research assistant for Jeremy Siegel, WisdomTree’s senior investment strategy adviser and The Wharton School’s Russell E. Palmer Professor of Finance, and helped with the research and writing of Siegel’s books “Stocks for the Long Run” and “The Future for Investors.” He is a graduate of The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Ronald Slivka

Ronald Slivka is a faculty member of the New York Institute of Finance and an adjunct professor at NYU Polytechnic Institute. With over 35 years of practical Wall Street experience, Slivka has held equity derivative sales and management positions at Salomon Brothers, J.P. Morgan and ABN Amro. He has written over 25 articles and book chapters on a broad range of derivative topics and holds a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Pennsylvania.

Ramin Toloui

Ramin Toloui is an executive vice president and emerging markets portfolio manager at Pimco. Prior to joining the firm in 2006, he was the director of the Office of the Western Hemisphere in the international division of the U.S. Department of Treasury. Toloui holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and a master’s degree in international relations from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes scholar.

Matthew Tucker

Matthew Tucker, CFA, is the head of U.S. Fixed Income Investment Strategy at BlackRock Group and is a member of the firm’s Model-Based Fixed Income Portfolio Management team. Originally employed by Barclays Global Investors prior to its 2009 merger with BlackRock, he previously led BGI’s U.S. Fixed Income Investment Solutions team and was responsible for overseeing product strategy for active, index, enhanced index, ETF and long/short products. Tucker holds an undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
