Steven Schoenfeld was named chief investment strategist for global quantitative management at Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI). He will report to Orie Dudley, Chief Investment Officer of NTGI. Schoenfeld is also founder of the associated IndexUniverse.com Web site. Prior to serving as chief investment officer of Active Index Advisors, Schoenfeld had been a managing director at Barclays Global Investors.

Nick Shellard was recently appointed as business development officer, iShares Europe. According to Barclays Global Investor in London, Shellard, who joins Ana Concejero, fills a new position servicing BGI's iShares clients in Europe. Shellard joined BGI from Morgan Stanley, and Concejero was formerly with Mako Financial Markets Ltd.
