CBOE Volumes Grow In April

The Chicago Board Options Exchange saw April’s average daily volume jump to over 5 million contracts this year, a 28 percent increase over the prior year.

While average daily volume for cash-settled index options was up just 4 percent, ADV for ETF options rose a more significant 21 percent. Combined together, the two categories are slightly less than 40 percent of the total average daily volume for the exchange.
