Spreadsheet Heaven We've got a whole new array of Excel spreadsheets (top) and pdfs (bottom) that are new to the site & the result of our tireless scouring of the globe for the very best data for spreadsheet heaven. There is a wide array of extremely informative and easily organized and sorted Excel spreadsheets and pdfs. Of course, you will need Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat to make the links work. We will assume that most of you will manage quite nicely. This data page was put together with an eye to the market crash of 1999 - 2002. Data as of March 31, 2003 U.S. Index Mutual Funds: Sorted by total net assets. This spreadsheet also examines the recent boom and bust of the market, looking at annual data from 1998 to present. AMEX Listed ETF Assets and Volume: A spreadsheet bible of the ETF industry which covers all AMEX-listed ETFs and is sortable by assets or volume. Data as of May 16, 2003. SSgA's Global ETF listing: The latest spreadsheet from Patricia Sanchez Marin of State Street lists all 283 ETFs globally in handy spreadsheet format. European ETF Statistics: Nice coverage of European ETF market that comes to us from Stephan Kraus of the Deutsche Borse. ETF Cash Flow and Volume: An outstanding, gargantuan look at ETF markets from Mike Traynor at Susquehanna Specialists. Data as of December 31, 2002. Dow Jones Periodic table: A very interesting sheet from Dow that looks at the returns of different market sectors from 1992-2003. Data as of December 31, 2003. US Index Funds and ETFs: A comprehensive summary of all the data through 2001. Includes through returns and fundamentals data and fund information. Global Indexes As of 12/31/2001: This spreadsheet consists of a miscellaneous combination of over 300 global indexes. US Index Funds and ETFs: A comprehensive summary of all the data through 2001. Includes through returns and fundamentals data and fund information. ETF Global Summary: Another nifty spreadsheet put together by Patricia Sanchez-Marin of SSgA. Details ETF global market share information. AMEX Listed ETF Summary: An excellent gauge of what is going on in the US ETF market, this summary is sent out every week by the American Stock Exchange, and lists assets and volumes for all AMEX-listed ETFs. FTSE Global Markets 2001: Summary put out by FTSE at yearend looks at global country and sector index data. Historical AMEX ETF Assets: Lists historical assets through 2000. Historical AMEX ETF Volume: Lists historical volume through 2000. Not quite spreadsheets, but outstanding info nonetheless: Q2 2002 Journal of Indexes Data: Contains the pdf from the Q2 issue which covers index, fund, style sector, active/passive and ETF data from boom to bust. As of the third anniversary of the big crash of 2000.
