The PowerShares Cleantech Portfolio (Fund) tracks the Cleantech Index™ (ticker: CTIUS), which is designed to track the leading cleantech companies, from a broad range of industry sectors, that offer the best investment returns. The Cleantech Index™ is a modified equally weighted index currently comprised of stocks of publicly-traded cleantech companies and ADRs based on such stocks. Cleantech Indices LLC ("Cleantech" or the "Index Provider") considers a company to be a cleantech company if it derives at least 50% of its revenues or operating profits from cleantech businesses. Cleantech businesses are defined as those that provide knowledge-based products (or services) that add economic value by reducing cost and raising productivity and/or product performance, while reducing the consumption of resources and the negative impact on the environment and public health.
* Trading Characteristics Definitions Spread : The average dollar difference between the best bid and best offer across all exchanges for the specified time period, weighted by volume. *Spread : Is the monthly average of the daily spread. % Spread : The average spread amount divided by the average bid-ask midpoint, weighted by volume. Share Volume : Composite Volume - total number of shares traded on all exchanges and Nasdaq. Dollar Volume : Dollar amount of shares traded on each exchange for the specified symbol, based on the stocks average price for the time period specified.
