AdvisorShares Rolls Out Cousteau-Influenced ETF
AdvisorShares debuted an ETF that invests in a wide range of asset classes and donates a percentage of its management fee to the Philippe Cousteau Jr.'s Global Echo Foundation. The AdvisorShares Global Echo ETF (NYSEArca: GIVE) aims to achieve absolute returns with low correlations to market returns. GIVE comes with an expense ratio of 1.70 percent, 0.40 percent of which is donated to the Global Echo Foundation.

ProShares Debuts Covered Bond ETF
On Wednesday, ProShares rolled out a fund investing in dollar-denominated covered bonds issued by financial institutions outside the U.S. The ProShares USD Covered Bond ETF (NYSEArca: COBO) tracks the BNP Paribas Diversified USD Covered Bond Index, which represents a portfolio of 43 bonds from 20 different issuers. It comes with an expense ratio that amounts to 0.35 percent after a 0.43 percent waiver.
UBS Unveils Leveraged Dividend ETNs
UBS launched two ETNs offering 200 percent exposure to dividend-focused indexes. The Etracs Monthly Pay 2x Leveraged Dow Jones Select Dividend Index ETN (NYSEArca: DVYL) and the Etracs Monthly Pay 2x Leveraged S&P Dividend ETN (NYSEArca: SDYL) charge expense ratios of 0.35 and 0.30 percent, respectively. Although both underlying indexes select and weight their components based on dividends, they hold different numbers of components and have some key methodology differences.
AdvisorShares Does The MATH With DENT
AdvisorShares said that it will shut down its Dent Tactical Advantage ETF (NYSEArca: DENT) and roll its assets into the AdvisorShares Meidell Tactical Advantage ETF (NYSEArca: MATH), effective on or about Sept. 7. Both of the funds have well under $10 million in assets each, but DENT's poor performance has caused it to lose assets at a rapid rate. MATH, however, has outperformed DENT significantly.

iShares Plans LatAm Bond ETF
iShares recently filed with the SEC to launch an ETF targeting dollar-denominated Latin American bonds. The iShares Latin America Bond Fund will track an index provided by Barclays and compete directly with the Market Vectors LatAm Aggregate Bond ETF (NYSE Arca: BONO). The filing did not include a ticker or expense ratio.
First Trust Files For Diversified Futures Fund
A new filing from First Trust indicates the firm is planning to launch a fund that will invest in a wide range of futures contracts. The First Trust Morningstar Diversified Futures Fund will take long, short or flat positions in futures contracts tied to commodities, equities and currencies. It will track an index offered by Morningstar. The filing did not mention a ticker or expense ratio.
