AlphaClone Launches ETF With Exchange Traded Concepts
San Francisco-based AlphaClone launched an ETF with Exchange Traded Concepts that targets stocks held by hedge fund managers. The AlphaClone Alternative Alpha ETF (NYSEArca: ALFA) replicates a "portfolio" consisting of the equity positions of a selection of top-rated hedge-fund managers. The fund charges an annual expense ratio of 0.95 percent.

Newcomer Sage Quant Files 40-APP
Sage Quant Management filed recently for the exemptive relief required to launch and market index-based ETFs. The initial proposed fund would target domestic stocks via a low-volatility dividend-based strategy, but other products could provide international and fixed-income exposure, according to the filing.
