PowerShares Plans Debt, Dividend ETFs
Invesco PowerShares recently filed for two ETFs covering very different spaces. The PowerShares S&P 500 High Dividend Portfolio (NYSEArca: SPHD) will track an index that targets lower-volatility stocks with the highest dividend yields in the S&P 500. Meanwhile, the PowerShares Fundamental Emerging Markets Local Debt Portfolio will track a fundamentally weighted index from Rob Arnott's Research Affiliates, the Citi RAFI Sovereign Emerging Markets Bond Index. The index covers locally issued debt from 14 different emerging markets. Fees were not included in the filings, nor was there a ticker provided for the emerging markets debt fund.
