Three Vanguard exchange-traded funds declared a 2-1 stock split on Wednesday. The funds were: Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (AMEX: VTI); Vanguard Emerging Markets ETF (AMEX: VWO), and Vanguard Extended Market ETF (AMEX: VXF). The mutual fund share classes of each ETF were not affected by the split. The share split allows each shareholder of record at the close of business on June 13 to receive one additional share for every share of the ETF held on that date. The additional shares are expected to be distributed to shareholders on June 17. The shares will trade at the new split-adjusted price beginning June 18. |
