Lyxor delisted 12 ETFs from the London Stock Exchange on Tuesday 2 June 2009. The ETF issuer explained that the delistings were in response to "changing client demand".

The 12 ETFs are:

Lyxor ETF Russia (DJ RusIndex Titans 10)
Lyxor ETF Turkey (DJ Turkey Titans 20)
Lyxor ETF Hong Kong (HSI)
Lyxor ETF MSCI AC Asia-Pacific ex Japan
Lyxor ETF MSCI Korea
Lyxor ETF Nasdaq 100
Lyxor ETF PRIVEX
Lyxor ETF New Energy
Lyxor ETF FTSE RAFI Europe
Lyxor ETF FTSE RAFI Eurozone
Lyxor ETF FTSE RAFI Japan
Lyxor ETF FTSE RAFI US 1000

The funds will be closed on Friday 5 June and existing holders will be reimbursed, without transaction costs, at the published net asset value for 2 June, explained the issuer.

Lyxor added that investors will still be able to buy these ETFs on European exchanges, although it stressed that UK investors should consult their tax advisors when considering other European ETF listings.

At the same time as the delisting announcement was made, Lyxor reiterated its plans to list between 15 and 20 new ETFs on the London Stock Exchange annually in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Currently, and after the delistings made this week, the firm has 18 ETFs listed on the LSE (not including multiple currency listings of the same fund), with GBP 417 million (Euros 480 million) in assets under management. Europe-wide, Lyxor has over Euros 25.5 billion under management, according to the latest edition of Deutsche Bank's "ETF Liquidity Trends" report.
